Fenty Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara review

I had been curious about the Fenty make up brand and have wanted to try some of the products for a while now. I had the Fenty foundation applied on me in Harvey Nichols which I loved and led me to think about how nice the other products in the Fenty range might be. The colours of some of the products looked beautiful and if the foundation was anything to go buy then the products seem like they could be very good quality. I was tempted to buy a multi usage product such as Fenty’s Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick but opted for the Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara.

The mascara comes in a sleek little black and gold tube and is available in three different colours – ‘Cuz I’m Black’ (True Black) ‘Mi$$ Merlot’ (Burgundy) and ‘Ivy League’ (Forest Green.) I bought a mini version in black which cost £9.00 and is a great way of trying the product out to see if you like it. The full version is £23.00.

Fenty claim that the mascara volumises, lengthens lifts and curls lashes, is buildable, waterproof and is cruelty free.

Without Mascara

I must admit I wasn’t a fan of the brush when I first saw it. The mascara has a fat to flat brush with the fat side supposed to hold maximum product to lift the lashes and the flat side designed to define and curl. I thought it might be difficult to use and imagined myself smudging the product on my eyelids which nearly always happens when I apply mascara, and I find that the formula is very good quality, smooth, easy to apply and also quite wet which is great because so many mascaras I’ve tried tend to go dry. This hasn’t. There was also no flaking, clumping or irritation which I was impressed with. I actually now really like the brush as it works really well at applying product, lengthening and defining my lashes.

With Mascara

A good few coats works really well for me and I found it to be buildable which is great. My eyelashes definitely looked more lengthened and volumized, and I can wear it for a day time look aswell as an evening look by adding a few more coats to get a more dramatic and glamorous look.

In my opinion this is a good mascara. It’s one of the nicest mascaras I’ve used in a while and I find that it works really well, looks nice on and is easy to use. A pleasant surprise.

Until next time.
