Hello! Welcome back to what seems like a very overdue blog post. I’ve been recovering from a serious operation and foot injury which seems to be nearly healed now, yey! So without further ado, here are my Summer favourites.
Redken Color Gloss Shampoo

I bought this shampoo after just about giving up on finding a good shampoo that’s suitable for my hair type. My hair is incredibly thick and dry and I’ve struggled over the years to find one that actually works for my hair. Enter this beauty which has transformed my hair from extremely dry and parched to silky soft, conditioned and glossy. It suits my hair perfectly and I’m so glad that Redken brought this range out in the last couple of years. I couldn’t do without and I don’t need to rely on a trip to the hairdressers for a cut and colour to keep up with and improve the condition of my hair. There are other products in this hair care range such as a gloss and an intense mask which I have also heard very good things about so I might try the mask. But this shampoo along with the conditioner makes me feel like I’ve stepped out of a salon. Thoroughly recommended for dry & coloured hair.
Redken Color Gloss Conditioner

Another holy grail in my hair care routine. This conditioner is just brilliant at making my hair soft, smooth and moisterised. I’ve literally been jumping for joy since I’ve found this hair care range, and I’ve found that If I leave it on for about 3 minutes it gives my hair an extra boost of moisturisation and leaves it silky soft. It also smells beautiful and I can’t stop stroking my hair when it’s been freshly washed with this hair range.
Kerastase hair oil

I kept hearing about this serum on youtube so I thought I’d give it go. I take one pump of this product and run it through damp hair. I personally find that 2 pumps is too much for me and makes my hair greasy. It helps makes my hair soft, smooth, glossy & also less frizzy. It also has heat protection In it and is scented so makes your hair smell nice.
Clarins Double Serum

As Clarins best selling product I wanted to try this after hearing so many people rave about it. It is on the pricier side of things ranging from £65 – £118 depending on what size you get, but I thought I’d give it a go and try it. I’m very picky with my face care as I have sensitive skin, but I do buy the Clarins Multi Active Day Jour with SPF15 as my main moisteriser and I get on well with that so thought I’d bite the bullet and bought the double serum. I must say I’ve been getting on very well with it so far and it makes my skin looks nice, brighter, healthy and hydrated. I put it on every morning underneath my moisteriser and pat it in to my face and neck.
Olaplex 3 Plus hair treatment

I bought this after being in hospital and after using hospital shampoo, it made my hair go as dry as a bone. I needed a bit of pampering after being in hospital for 2 weeks so I decided to buy the Olaplex No 3 Plus treatment which you are supposed to leave on for 3 minutes. I left it in for 10 minutes the 2nd time I used it and found it was more effective on my super dry hair. This product treats the hair from the inside out, has bond repair technology, reverses and defends against damage and makes it stronger & healthier. It took a few goes on my dry, thick hair but after a few times of using it I could see the difference.
Farmasi Glowy Peptide Lip Balm

I like a good lip balm but I found I was going for quite simple but boring lip balms and wanted something less basic. I bought this lip balm after seeing reviews and girls wearing it on social media. It’s my favourite lip balm that I’ve had in a long time and I love that it has peptides and ingredients in that make your lips look all plump, healthy and dewy. It also gives a lovely hint of pink colour and smells like strawberies. I always make sure to pop this in my bag and pop it on even when I’m not wearing any make up.
Yankee Candle

I’ve grown fond of candles in recent years. I started to like Yankee Candles apon smelling them in peoples houses and the gorgeous scents of something like Clean Cotton or something that smells like sweets. I only had one yankee candle called Cinnamon Stick which I usually use in the Autumn and Winter as it’s perfect for that time of year. However, I wanted one that would make the room smell nice in the Spring and Summer so I bought a lovely pink candle from their Home Inspiration range called Sugared Blossom. It’s a lovely soft, sweet fragrance and I like to put it on when I’m relaxing and winding down. I think I’ll need to get another Yankee Candle soon enough as I’m getting good use out of it!
Farmasi Intense Lift Mascara

I played it safe for a long time with mascaras and used to stick to mainly one mascara that I knew I got on well with. But in recent years I’ve branched out and experimented a bit more. The latest mascara I’ve tried is by a brand called Farmasi who I work with. I saw posts by a lot girls on socials wearing it and it seemed to give them long, luscious lashes. So I tried it for myself and have gotten on really well with it. I like to wear a few layers to really lengthen my eyelashes but one coat is just fine and still gives length to them.
I hope that you enjoyed my Summer Favourites. Are you using any products at the moment that you really like or would recomend? I’d love to hear them. Bye for now,
